They try to conduct interviews with everyone in the interview area. I had my interview with the person managing the alumni interviews in the Twin Cities, and she said they had ~125 alumni trying to contact all the applicants.

Yeah, I had the same interviewer as the other 10-15 people at my school applying to Stanford - and she even mentioned a few to me.

Overall, I think it went well. She mentioned that the interview was supposed to be something beyond the application, but she asked me a lot of the things that I put on the common app and the supplement, like why I wanted to go to Stanford and challenges I’ve faced. But overall, a great time.

I dont understand why stanford interview threads keep coming up. The vast majority of kids won’t get interviews and for the one’s that do, unless you are a bad person or something, it won’t really affect a whole lot.

I had mine yesterday. It was awesome, the guy was really friendly, etc. Not expecting it to have a great impact but it certainly can’t hurt.

I told my Yale interviewer that I applied to Stanford as well because they have good Bioengineering tracks.
