Stanford or JHU?

Hey,
This is my first "what are my chances" thread, so please bear with me..

GPA: 4.00

Class Rank: N/A, probably top 1%, school does not do it. I go to the Mississippi School for Math and Science, a state sponsored magnet school for 11th and 12th graders, with approximately 130 in each class.

ACT: 36-Composite, 36-english, 35-math (I got a 36 on a different test), 35-reading, 36-science, 10-writing

SAT (retaking in Oct and Nov, but not studying, I am sick of it): 2120-composite, CR: 660, M: 780, W: 680

AP's: 4-chemistry, 5-physics AB, 5-calculus BC

Coursework: very high standard compared to other school across the state (considering it is Mississippi), and maybe across the nation as well. We are on the Mississippi University for Women (good in nursing, nothing else) campus so we can take college classes. I will have 12 hours of english when I graduate, 6 hours of calculus, some number of hours of physics, etc.

EC's: quiz bowl, science bowl, soccer, chess club, raquet club, mu alpha theta, young republicans

Volunteer Work: Franklin tutoring (where you go once a week to this elementary school to tutor kids in Spanish for 30 minutes to an hour), I interned at the Polymer science department of University of Southern Mississippi this summer without pay for 7 weeks..?

What are my chances of getting in Stanford, JHU, UPenn, Vandy, Duke, etc..?

Thanks!

Oh and I have NMSF..

Wow 36 ACT - you should try your luck at Harvard as well...

I would say you're in at Hopkins.

ur definately in at hopkins..not a challenge..start thinking about ivy leagues...u have a chance if u work at it

JHU is just as good as an ivy league (though better than Cornell). I'd say you're in though, comparatively they are less selective (as long as you're not going for BME, then even you would have little chance) than top 10 schools. As they get down the list they base it more and more on academics, which you are unbeatable in.

Unfortunately I want to major in Biomedical Engineering.. will this hinder me in any way? What about my chances in Stanford?

bump?......
