Stanford or USC? Help!

Ok, everyone on here might think im crazy for even conisdering this, but i'm stuck choosing between USC and Stanford.I'm an International student (English, living in Italy). I have been admitted to both to study Drama. My goal is to become an actress in future, so being in L.A. is a real upside, meaning i can get a start in the professional world, but at the same time, the possibility that you fail in the entertainment industry is so high, that it seems logical to get a degree from Stanford. I'm a hard worker, but i am also a bit of a party girl, so i like to have a good time. I have been to USC a few times, and really liked the place, the people and the campus. Stanford, on the other hand i only saw for a few hours, most of which i spent inside a room doing an audition. I'm really stuck, so any help would be really appreciated- Thank you!

USC, while not the overall "big player" in the rankings, has an incredible program in what you're looking for. Plus, LA is a great place to get your start.

My opinion is with USC...for once. :-P

thankyou for replying! and thank you for telling me what you think. so many people I talk to are afraid to go for USC just because they think It'd be crazy for me to reject Stanford.

I think USC might be the better choice for film although if u want an education go to stanford

Sempitern, I know it's hard to believe, but for film USC gets people really good jobs. Those are good to have, and in most cases, better than having a "higher ranked" diploma to stare at in your vacant studio apartment.

Jeez, people need to get their heads out of their orifices...

If you are really serious about acting being your goal, USC clearly has the advantage -- big connections in the industry and a much more highly developed program. Stanford is not known for their drama program. Luckily, you can also get a good education while you're at USC in case it turns out you need a fall back option. If you were not turned off by the size of the school and the part of town its located in, USC should be a good match for you, IMHO.
