<p>My school does not offer calculus beyond BC and I finished that as a sophomore. My school can arrange two things:
1) Stanford OHSX
2) Independent Study</p>
<p>An independent study is when a random teacher, a person the school trusts such as a local university professor, or an expert can teach you in school or outside of school and you get a grade for it through that person. </p>
<p>Would colleges like it more if I took calculus through stanford ohsx or the is? The is is listed on my transcript as:</p>
<p>IS Multivariate Calculus</p>
<p>and stanford ohsx would be:</p>
<p>SOHSX Multivariate Calculus</p>
<p>Cost Factor:
IS is free
SOHSX is $1000</p>
<p>I can get an A in both I think. My forte is math and if i ever need help, my mother has extensive knowledge of calculus. She can also be my IS teacher.</p>
