From what I gather I see you’re an engineering major right? Wouldn’t it make more sense to go to Georgia tech, cal poly or UCSD over Yale for engineering since they are a lot more respected in that field? Are you just going because of it’s name and simply because it’s an ivy ?
@thatEEatUCD Yale is giving me a full ride, whereas GT, Cal Poly and UCSD will all cost $20,000+ per year to attend, which I simply cant afford. I am really excited about Yale though, and the opportunities there are much more abundant than at any of those other schools, and the prestige will help me get into a good grad school if I do well these next 4 years.
I would not underestimate an engineering degree from Yale. If the costs are the same I would still choose Yale.

From an outsider looking in, I honestly feel that it’s mostly a crap shoot. I have seen many applicants get denied whom I would have accepted and who got accepted whom I would have denied. The conclusion I came to is that life is not fair and don’t get stressed about the result.
