Decision comes out in a few days! Just want to say that your story is unbelievable and I believe that you will be very successful no matter where you go! You have the drive and determination to do just about anything!
Fellow finalist here anxious to hear the results. But I hope everything works out
Good luck!

Donât forget to update your thread once youâve received the decision! :)

Youâre probably in most of these schools.

@lolcollegelawlâ thanks so much! I wish you the best of luck and hope you receive great news on Monday! @MYOS1634â I will make sure to update it, thanks! @mmmmmmmmm thanks for the opinion!

You are a high-achiever. That is for sure. And trust me, if these colleges do not accept you, they must have a screw loose. I mean, come on, you are from a low-income family but damn you have so many awards and extra-curriculars that a wealthier student is going like whaaaaa. Colleges will see that you are from a low-income family and therefore weight you higher because of your achievements that you have won regardless of financial situation. Good chances at all of these schools.

Hey guys, National College Match results came out yesterday and I didnât match I think it is because of my relatively high income (for college match recipients), but there might be other reasons as well. I am hoping I can get in RD but I guess Iâll have to wait and see. Thanks again for all of the help!

I think itâs because your matches 1-5 were all at the same level, itâs a common mistake for QB match students. Itâs too bad,and you must be very disappointed but you can still work on RD, recalibrating your list.

@MYOS1634â I think that is another reason as well. I only ranked those top 5 schools because there werenât any other QB schools that I would be âabsolutely certainâ I want to go to. I am disappointed but I am not devastated because I knew going into it how low the match rates are at these schools. Last year I had a kid at my school not get matched but a couple of days later an admissions officer from Princeton called him and offered him the same package through early action, so if I am lucky that might happen to me (but Iâm not counting on it). I am submitting my application to MIT, however, for early action so hopefully I can get some good news there. I heard that MIT did not match any students this year through QB so it will be interesting to see if I can get in EA. I will admit, though, that not getting matched (even though I expected not to be) is sort of a confidence killer. Waiting until March to know where I get accepted might just drive me insane.

Hey guys, figured Iâd give you an update. I was deferred at MIT EA which isnât that bad because I didnât think I was going to get in anyways so itâs better than a rejection. Time for RD apps!

@biggestsunsfanâ Have you gotten any decisions yet?
Hey @DominicBayerâ! Here are some of the decisions I have received so far!
ASU Barrett- Accepted
Cal Poly SLO- Accepted
Georgia Tech- Accepted
UCSD- Accepted
USC- Accepted
MIT- Deferred â> Rejected
Caltech- Rejected
UChicago- Waitlisted
UC Berkeley- Rejected.
Still waiting on some ivys, Rice and Stanford (today). Stanford was my best application, and I am really hoping to get in there because thatâs my number one choice, but I am expecting a rejection. Iâll make sure to update my thread once I get more decisions!
Hey @biggestsunsfanâ. Your acceptances are impressive, and I hope that you get accepted to Stanford. Iâm a Junior applying to QuestBridge CPS, and my #1 is Stanford too, so I hope that you have good luck with this. Please tell me what your Stanford decision is.
Hey guys, thought Iâd give an update. Hereâs a complete list of all my admissions decisions:
ASU Barrett- Accepted
Cal Poly SLO- Accepted
Georgia Tech- Accepted
UCSD- Accepted
USC- Accepted
Rice- Accepted
MIT- Deferred â> Rejected
Caltech- Rejected
UChicago- Waitlisted
UC Berkeley- Rejected.
Stanford- Rejected
Princeton- Rejected
Harvard- Waitlisted
Yale- Waitlisted
Dartmouth- Waitlisted
Columbia- Rejected.
I am really surprised I got waitlisted so many times. It kind of sucks having to wait even longer to know about some of the big schools (like Harvard and Yale), but itâs also nice to know I wasnât rejected. If all falls through Iâll probably end up at USC Viterbi Engineering. I am hoping I can get off at least one waitlist (praying itâs Harvard) but if not I would still be ecstatic to go to USC.
Thanks for all of your guys help throughout this process!! Best of luck to all of you.
Congrats on the acceptances, and good luck with the waitlists. I believe you have pretty good chances of being accepted by at least one of the schools that waitlisted you. Good luck and I hope you eventually are able to go to your favorite school.
Hey guys, thought Iâd give an update! Today I was admitted off of the waitlist at YALE!!! SO EXCITED!!! Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement!
Hey congratulations, @biggestsunsfan! Yale is an impressive college, and if not the best it is one of the top 3 colleges. This is a truly impressive achievement. I hope you have a great time at this fantastic college. BTW, if youâre interested in politics, Iâd recommend joining the Yale Political Union.
Haha thanks so much!! @DominicBayer good luck next year!!
Thanks, @biggestsunsfan. Hope I get the chance to join you at Yale next year, though thatâs nearly impossible. Congrats again on this truly spectacular accomplishment.
@biggestsunsfan Huge Congratulations Future Bull Dog!!! Youâre gonna have an amazing time and I am so happy that your efforts have been recognized by such an outstanding college. You really deserve it and I am sure you have made your family incredibly proud. You have every reason to celebrate and I hope you take advantage of all the opportunities Yale has to offer to you.
Thanks so much for the kind words!! I am sure you will do amazing things at Princeton as well! Best of luck over these next four years and beyond! @Homeless2Princeton
