Is it possible to play more than one sport at Stanford?

I already know which sport would be my priority (Equestrian Team), but I also love cheerleading (which I may consider depending on the school's program) and field hockey (which I could probably live without, though I'd like to play).

Is there any possible way to play 2-3 sports while getting the best grades I can and still have a social life/down time?

Don’t do the cheerleading team. There are a million better things you can do with your time.

Incidentally, if you’re interested in the actual leading-cheers part of cheerleading (as opposed to the acrobatics and whatnot), join the band. They do far more of that than the cheerleaders.

Doing 2 sports at one time is probably not a smart idea. There are 2 sport athletes (like Toby Gerhart), but the majority of the 2 sport athletes probably have sports in different seasons (like Football-Fall vs. Baseball-Spring).

Hmm. Well, the equestrian team is year round, and field hockey is fall. Any idea how much of a time commitment the average sports team is at Stanford?
