Stanford - submit final IB scores?

Does Stanford require admitted students to submit their final ib scores or can we withhold them? None of my classes qualify for credit so I don't know if I should have my scores sent.

what classes are you in that won’t qualify for credit?

The scores are submitted mainly to get credit.

My higher levels are english lit, economics and music. I’ve checked the Stanford website and there isn’t credit offered for these courses. I don’t mind not getting credit, but I want to know if I should be worried about my IB scores being lower than my predicteds or if I have to even submit my final IB scores.

You won’t be rescinded for having low IB scores unless you’re an international student who’s school does not use a letter grade system. Just have the scores submitted.

My question is whether they will ask for them. I am an international student and my school uses the IB only. We have final grades for this semester so I’m not sure whether those final grades will be sufficient or whether Stanford will want my actual IB scores.

@mrowell. The answer is NO. This has been discussed many times here on CC…you only need to submit the actual IB scores IF you plan on using it for advanced credit for certain specific classes (there aren’t many that qualify) similar to AP scores…

see this previous thread as well from an earlier year discussion:<a href=“IB scores? - Stanford University - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/stanford-university/705622-ib-scores.html</a></p>

So…don’t worry. Be happy. Just make sure you try and finish strong in your classes/grades because your FINAL TRANSCRIPT will need to be submitted to Stanford…

Thank you!
