I did'nt take any AP's in my high school because they were not available. Extra curricular activities were not available either It was a small school and did'nt qualify for national competitions so that's out too. However, i took the most rigorous courses available (4 consecutive years of math and english, Physics,Chemistry,Biology,Geography,Economics and Food science for the last 3 years with fairly high grades). I am a member of the Unveiling Africa Foundation ( assists less privileged african teens). I myself am a 'less privileged' student.
I graduated high school a month before i turned 15 but had to stay at home for one year due to severe financial hardships.(scholarships at universities in my home country are like politics- you have to know someone on the board)
I plan to major in Environmental science
Do you think my age or lack of AP's will be a serious disadvantage to me? should i take AP exams now? Thanks for your answers in advance.

Don’t bother with APs; I would assume that with the general yet detail lacking info you provided, you are within the ballpark of URM applicants.

For the love of god ignore etg2013, what he indirectly means is, if you didn’t post you were a minority that you should show them the challenge ivy’s are looking for and take the exam’s like most applicants have. I am confident you will get in and imagine you will get 5’s on about every subject you decide to take since all you do is excel academically.

^Assumes that URMs are all low-performing students. Wow.

I don’t see why they would ever expect a current college student to take AP exams. That just seems silly. You can ask admissions if they would consider it but it seems like a bizarre thing to do, especially if you’re doing so well at an actual college.

^this. 10char

Except I never said that though you clearly have. I suggest counselling.

Good luck, Vee2013. Stanford wants to see passion. Transfers into Stanford have a very low acceptance rate, but with your stats there is definitely reason to apply. Don’t worry about AP tests. Good luck!
