Stanford, UCB

Hello, all! I've been a lurker for the last month or so and finally decided to join, so please be kind!

I will be applying to William and Mary, UNC-CH, Wake Forest, VT, and UWash in the fall, but I'm just asking about Stanford and UC-Berkeley for now. (Also, I'm open to suggestions!) Thanks!

I know Stanford is a crapshot for anyone, so please don't restate that.
Earlier, I mentioned I was open to college suggestions. Specifically, I'm looking for a solid Business/Econ program, and to minor in Spanish or Chinese.

Also, I'm not quite sure what to write my essays about. I was thinking 'how Spanish enriched my life' or 'how traveling across the country changed me'. Although, I'm desperate for any and all suggestions!

Thank you so much for your time! I sincerely appreciate it! =)

bump/update

4 on U.S. History AP Exam

Thank you!

Your chances are low with a 4.0 UC GPA into Berkeley, but not impossible. You would have to write really good essays and maintain/improve your grades during senior fall. Stanford is a reach.

I think you have a reasonable chance at Berkeley. They are anxiously looking for full pay out of staters. While your GPA is a bit below their average CA public schools have incredible grade inflation so you may get a break. Your SAT score is well above their average which will help. With a good essay you certainly have a shot. Stanford not so much. Rank and scores are low there.
