Stanford vs Princeton vs Harvard for IR

Looking into all 3 of these schools for
International Relations. I know all of them have absolutely incredible IR departments, but I’m having trouble narrowing down which one is the best (by best I mean the program with the most student/professor contact, most practical).
Can someone with actual knowledge give me info

There is no “best” - there might be a “best for you” in terms of YOUR interests and desires, but YOU are the most qualified to discover that by researching the schools yourself and seeing how their programs stack up against what interests you. Asking strangers on the internet based on criteria like “most practical” is just silly.

Sure, someone who went through one of those programs might be able to give you some insight into that particular program, and maybe your post will illicit such a response, but how will you really be able to incorporate that into a balanced assessment of the comparative “value” of the programs?

My advice to you is to research the programs yourself, and see what you find:

  • Check out the curriculums
  • Check out the available areas of specialization
  • Check out the professors - see what they publish about, what books they have written, are their lectures on YouTube?
  • Think about what specifically you want to do with an IR degree - does the college produce grads who get those jobs?
  • Etc, etc, etc…

Sorry for the rant-like nature of the response, but these kinds of posts are very silly in my opinion.
