Stanford / Yale / Brown / Dartmouth

Public school in California - good reputation - has over 800 API - I dont know if that... does... much...

Typically 2-3 students are admitted each year to HYPSM
With... maybe 2-3 more going to other ivies or competitive east coast schools
Eh - 12-15 get into Berkeley each year

I dont know if the above helps in any way...

GPA unweighted: 4.0
GPA weighted: 4.3 (sophomore), 4.7 (junior) - I dont know how they average out
Rank: My school doesn't rank but I'm somewhere in the top 5 out of 400

SAT I: 2250 (740 CR, 750 M, 760 W) taking again in October and should score higher (on practice tests I have consistently gotten 800 M/W)
SAT II: 770 Biology M, 790 US History, 760 Math II (I might retake the Math one)

AP's
English Lang: 5
Calc AB: 5
Biology: 5
Env. Sci.: 5
US History: 5

EC's - (pretty good but not fantastic - I think)
Great Books (yuck)
Student Council (Vice President)
MUN - 3 years
Model Congress (won award!)
Volunteer at hospital (E.R. department)
Tutor Club
Recycling Club (I only do it for the field trip - haha)
Dessert Club (I only do it for the free food)
Key Club (sporadically)
Work at Architecture Firm eh... 15 hrs or so a week)
Tennis Team (but not this year)

Last Summer I also went to Oxford University and took International Relations and Architecture there - for a month - it was amazing.

Recommendations should be pretty good, if not phenomenal (I hope that doesnt sound presumptuous - but my teachers that I asked really liked me and have been known to write really good recs in the past)

For my essay I'm planning on doing sort of a shmeelage of what my friends have taught me - you know - those random talents that really mean nothing in life but that you never forget because they are important to you - a.k.a. - Rubik's cube (I can do it in under a minute now!) - Mandarin (Ni hao ma? Wo ai wo but wo bu shi huan ne because ne shi ben dan - just kidding) - Ballet (this 2 AM lesson I had with my friend one time I shall never forget - my hip oscillations were very kung fu-ey - then she told me that you're not supposed to gyrate in ballet and I keeled over in quasimodo-esque laughter) - maybe I'll throw something in about my Final Fantasy and Harry Potter addictions to round out my quirky eccentricies nicely.

I think it should make for a very humorous and heartfelt essay -

I completely forgot what this post was about...

O right - what do you think about my chances?

Your stats are excellent, but these schools reject similarly fine candidates all the time. Apply to them, but prepare a backup list!

ya i have a list of match / safety schools also - i just didnt list them b/c i dont need much reaffirmation that i can get into them

woah that sounds so conceited

but - there's really no other way to say it - haha

If you are in the top 5 and your school sends 2-3 to HYP every year, then you know exactly what your chances are.

what a troll. i don't like helping kids like you, rather help the ones that actually ARE worried, not the ones that just need an ego boost and aren't so concieted.

dude, get a clue, people like you aren't going to have many friends IF or when you go to an ivy, which is something you'll definitely NEED.

Average chances. I think you mean "wo bu shi huan NI" ...

I'd say, average chances meaning reach. However, you appreciate Final Fantasy so in my book you should be admitted.
