Stanford!!!

Female
4.0 GPA, Rank 5/800
SAT: 2330
SAT II's: Math IIC: 690, Literature: 750
AP's: USH: 4, Calc: 4, Psych: 5, Physics C Mec: 3
White, public school, New Mexico

Hopefully great essays and recs

EC's
2 years JV Swimming
2 years triathalon training with private trainer
1 year Varsity Cross country- best on my team, should rank ok/well in state
NHS 2 years
National Merit Semi-finalist
VP of key club senior year

1 year of research mentorship with university professor, presented work at poster session

Started a local charity to help find and rehabilitate stray dogs

b - u - m - p

The good: killer rank & SAT

The bad: EC's look weak (unless your stray dog charity is big/meaningful) and the SAT II's & AP scores are kinda low, esp. given how strong you are in the other academic "stat" categories.

Your rank & SAT alone is prob. enough to get you admitted w/ innovative and strong essays + strong recs. I would say 30% chance, w/ ~10% being average & ~60% being a valedictorian with a 2400.

BTW, doesn't Stanford want 3 SAT II's still? Be careful!

no, they only need 2 SAT II's...bump...any more input?

week ecs though.....reach??

I say slight reach

I say you have a good shot! (40%).

Also, I'm applying EA. What do u think is the likeliest outcome: Accepted, Deferred, Rejected?

Stanford loves their sports more than any other prestigious university.

Just saying...
