I am just a sophomore in high school, but I want to know what were the stats of people on here who applied and/or got in.

Thanks! :)

then check the stanford thread and read for yourself

Here’s a link to Stanford’s Common Data Set. Scroll down to Section C for statistics about freshman admission. [Stanford University: Common Data Set 2009-2010](http://ucomm.stanford.edu/cds/cds_2009.html)

^Good stats, but note that they are a few years old. The school has become even more competitive. Stats have gone up.

Also note that academics are only part of the application. Good test scores alone wont get you in, ECs are also valuable.

Stanford is the most unpredictable school where stats don’t matter.

This is the most recent common data set:

[Stanford University: Common Data Set 2011-2012](http://ucomm.stanford.edu/cds/2011.html)

Note that it’s less useful to look at numbers for Stanford, which tends to emphasize essays more than its peers (which is why it has such an essay-heavy supplement). If you look at threads of student stats (search the Stanford forum for “decisions” in the thread title), you see lots of students with sub-2200 SATs - and yes, even Asian students. You also see plenty of students with ridiculously high SAT scores rejected or waitlisted, even when they get into another HYPM school.
