Starbucks?

My interviewer contacted me tonight and asked where I would like to have our interview. I mentioned Starbucks (after reading that it was pretty common on these forums...). Is that okay? He paused for a second after I said it - but later said "Don't worry about dressing up because I am not going to!" - mixed messages are a pain... :)

Starbucks is fine. Perhaps he hesitated because he doesn't drink coffee and the menu there is mostly coffee. Also a crowded Starbucks can be noisy - perhaps he was trying to think of a quieter place. In any case, don't worry about it.

i wouldnt worry about it. i doubt hes going to say bad things about you because you chose starbucks. also he seems like he has a sense of humor with that last comment. i would just go and relax. have great time. dont think of it as an interview, think of it like your talking to one of your parents friends about college. dont do anything stupid or talk to him like hes your best friend, but dont talk to him like hes a serious man you have to impress. just think of him as a person you met at a dinner party that you are having a light conversation with. good luck!

no freaking way. I had my interview last week and it was also at starbucks. I found out that it is the NUMBER 1 choice for interviews.

But in reality its substance not setting
