Starting as a First-Year Sophomore

Is this possible?

I currently have two AP credits under my belt. I received 4's on both AP Biology and AP US History 2. As a senior I hope to pass AP English (Lit and Lang) as well as AP European History. I'm taking AP French Lang. as well, but I'm not sure how I'll do on that exam.

Assuming I take 2-3 classes online through a CC would this place me in sophomore standing? I'll most likely be taking a math course (Calc I) and possible psychology. And maybe another elective, if need be.

Has anyone else thought of graduating Rutgers, or any college in general in three years? Do I need more credits? Is this even plausible?

Many people have thought of and achieved graduating from undergraduate universities in three years. For you, just go and look at the requirements for your major in the School of Arts and Sciences. You can find your major requirements at Rutgers Degree Navigator and general requirements on the SAS website.

If you’re going to another school in Rutgers, then check that website.

If you loaded up on AP’s in high school, you could have easily entered Rutgers with 40+ AP credits which would make you 1/3 of the way done with college. In fact, you could probably graduate in 2.5 years while taking a pretty normal course load.
