Transferring to Rutgers New Brunswick

Hi everyone, i'm currently in my first year of college, and i was wondering what are the chances to get into Rutgers New Brunswick (SAS) for fall '10.
I am currently enrolled in Brookdale CC and will be graduating by the end of the summer.
As of wen i sent my application, i only had 23 credits with a 3.5 gpa.

What is the average gpa to get into SAS these days?

i originally applied my senior year to SAS with a 3.6 and around 1800 SAT score and sadly didnt get in ):
now im even more worried because ill be graduating with nowhere else to attend!

thanks for the input!

(posted by accident in transfer students forum)

I’d say you have a great chance. 3.5 is great for a transfer into SAS. Last year I transferred with a 3.26 and this year my brother and boyfriend were accepted with 3.4s (they got in this week).

If you only have 23 credits now, what kind of course load are you taking to be able to graduate in the summer? haha just curious.

congrats to your brother and boyfriend! (: u must be so excited lol.

ah. sounds mad crazy but im taking 23 credits currently, so i would need 3 more classes in the summer.
i wouldve had a near perfect gpa but math brought me down ):
(as u can see i cant even count the credits i have because i have 25 credits rite now, not 23! lol)
which is the factor thats worrying me right now haha.

thanks for ur input, i can breathe a lil now!

But to graduate from a CC don’t you need between 62-68 credits? That is to get an associates degree.
Unless your going for a one year certificate?

mhm! in my major i need 60 credits. but i have AP credits so that helps for one class.
ahh im getting so worriedd. hm.

Im confused…
But your seriously taking 20+ credits? your insane.

wow 20+ credits is crazy. I’ve taken the max at my njcc, 18 credits, and will be graduating with 75 credits in engineering. But it took me two years…

seriously whats wrong with you RU worried?

i dont have a job. haha. basically i have no life at home other than weekends and anxiously waiting to get a life -_- hopefully starting with RU.

wishing everyone luck!!!

I still think your crazy :D

im wondering what do counselors say to kids about the average gpa to get in haha.
any1 got an idea/has experienced this? lol
