Starting clubs up

I was cerious about what kind of process would I have to go through to instill clubs in my school? My school has a variety of clubs, but none that focus on politics (besides the Conservative Club, and Young Democrats). I was intersted in starting a Debate Club and a Model United Nations. What kind of activities could i do in both of them? Debate club seems obvious, but im not sure about Model United Nations yet. Any suggestons?

To get a club started, find a teacher advisor. Then make a constitution and send it in for district approval through the principal. When you get it approved, you can recruit members and start planning activities. It sounds complicated, but its actually pertty simple. One more thing, make sure you choose a good officer team to do this with you. If you choose lazy people, you're gonna have to hold the responsibility of doing everything the whole year - my mistake : /

any questions, just pm me

Depends on the school really. In my school, just get a teacher advisor who will help out, get ten signatures on the sheet and turn it into the ASB(Associated Student Body). You will get approved in a week as long as its an appropriate group.

MUN is a lot of work to start and can have many activities that could go beyond school, debate is a good choice if you have interested people. (Be sure to make yourself lifetime dictator/president, don't give a show of democracy. Remember, its your club.)

Make a JSA chapter!!! Junior Statesmen of America. It's a very good club for politicaly active students!

What if you are trying to make a political club in a school where the majority of the teachers and administration are of the opposite views?
