<p>The only people who will have heard this early are the ones who are being referred to GSP. Everyone else will hear on or around April 1.</p>

<p>My friend said she got a call from NYU that she was accepted. She applied to CAS and has absolutely no reason to lie.</p>
<p>that's weird...i never knew nyu would say that someone is accepted over the phone..</p>
<p>odin, as I said the only people to hear as of now are those who have been referred to GSP, and it's always done by snail mail, never by phone. You either misunderstood your friend, or she's pulling your leg.</p>
<p>Not to sound stupid or anything, but what exactly is GSP? Is it the program where the "weaker" applicants are referred to?</p>
<p>General Studies Program, basically like a 5th year in high school but not really. I am informed that for GSP one is given the option of doing it in one of the abroad NYU sites of if you aren't 18 yet, the New York campus itself? Could be wrong. But yes - to put it bluntly, where the "weaker" applicants are referred to that were slightly good enough just to make the cut.</p>

<p>I don't know about Steinhardt, but apparently it's rare for Stern applicants now to be referred to GSP</p>

<p>I got an invitation for UNIVERSITY DAY RECEPTION for steinhardt.. </p>
<p>called in and was told that it's for admits! </p>
<p>official NYU decisions will be mailed out on April 1st</p>
