my friend got into CAS..already?

Today my friends recevied an email saying she got into CAS. But the thing is her GPA and SATs are lower than mine and I wondered if it is possible to be notified this early. the email said

We have just completed our review of your application and I I am delighted to tell you that your application has been selected for the Freshman Year in the College of Arts and Science.

and lalala... man.. I am nervous..
wait.. why there are two 'I I' s.. is she lying?

can anyone please post up actual GSP acceptance letter? just to compare.. she said it's not GSP.. but i dont know.. grrr

NYU does not notify through e-mail. Period.

even if she's international? (canada)

a girl from canada posted on here this week or last saying she got in, but she received the stuff in a UPS envelope.

but even if your friend did get in, that means nothing about you, dearie. april 1st is still a-coming.

NYU does not notify by email. It doesn't matter where the applicant lives.

that sounds very oddly worded.

"We have just completed our review of your application and I I am delighted to tell you that your application has been selected for the Freshman Year in the College of Arts and Science."

It starts out with "we" and continues with "I," repeats "review of your application" "tell you that your applicaion," and "Freshman Year in the College of Arts and Science." First, it's the college of arts and scienceS, and why would it say freshman year? its for all four years! very nitpicky i know, but it just seems oddly worded. and like matth said, nyu DOESNT notify by email. the only people who have been notified by email are gsp people, and they ALSO received stuff in the mail. i think the only reason those people got emails is because they had a link to follow to register for something.

scrap- it's arts and science-no 's'

She is lying and lying isn't cool man.

whoops, my bad =)
