Starting your own club

How much of an impact does it have to your college application, I am thinking of starting a Rubiks Cube Club, does it have a good impact? Or barely anything? help.

I would think that it shows initiative, leadership, and ambition.

I started my school's Amnesty International chapter my freshman year. I don't think it's just about starting a club, but also the progression of the club. If your Rubiks cube club becomes a hit, and you can write a killer short answer about it, then that would only help you.

I decided to forget it, its too late this year, and I have no ambition, merely a desperate attempt for college admissions. Thanks Speak Easy.

I think almost anything can be the basis of a good club, but some things will require much more work to persuade people that it's a good club. Thus (for example) starting a chapter of Amnesty International looks good on its face. A Rubiks Cube club, though, would require more--much more, in my opinion--to show that it was a serious effort and really showed leadership and commitment.
