<p>I just got out of my stat 21 midterm and I seriously feel so depressed :( I studied 20+ hours and I still didn't know how to do two of the problems. For those of you who took that class w/ Ibser, do you remember what the average was for the midterm?</p>
<p>Wait, you didn’t finish 2 out of the 4 problems? Or are you talking about the subsections of each problem?</p>
<p>I heard from people after the test that the average midterm score hovers around 50…can anyone confirm?</p>
<p>If this helps at all, I had Prof Purves for stat 21 last fall. The avg for the 1st midterm was around 32/50, which is 64 percent. If you get at least 1 SD above this, you’re doing great in the class.</p>
<p>Lol I didn’t finish two parts of a problem, not two problems. Sorry about not making it clear. If I really didn’t finish half of the test, I’d probably be too depressed to even post on CC hahaha. My friends from that other stat 21 class said their average was 50/100…but I heard that Ibser’s tests are easier, so I’m really scared :(</p>
<p>for ibser last sem, the A cutoff (top 20%) was 90/100 which was pretty high. if ur in stats calculating the avg should be no prob with the info given ;)</p>
<p>90/100? Did you actually take Ibser’s class last semester? I know he doesn’t give the most difficult tests but that number seems pretty unrealistic considering the average for the other stat class was 50/100.</p>
