So I've been looking around but haven't been able to find an answer to my question. I'm taking Math 54 next semester, and was wondering if it would be within reason to take Statistics 133 as well. I assumed that was the case when I signed up, but I've had a few people tell me 133 involves vectors/matrices/etc., and was wondering if I would need a solid background in linear algebra prior to taking 133. As a little background, I've taken math 53 and stats 20, but no upper division statistics courses (including 134/135). My other two classes will be less mathematical and not particularly hard, but will take up a fair bit of time. Thoughts?

133 shouldn’t be too strenuous on you. It’s not particularly difficult material

I’ve heard otherwise. But my main concern is that I don’t spend half my time wishing I had a better understanding of matrices or some such.

Also, will R (or whatever it’s called) be difficult if I don’t have anything more than a touch of programming experience?
