I am most likely going into a science/technology-related humanities major, but I really enjoy quantitative subjects as well. That said, I am looking to minor in either Statistics or Computer Science and was wondering which one is more useful in the average job (since I have no idea what I want to go into), either in the thinking and problem-solving methods involved in problems presented in the classes or in direct application (if there is any). Any input is much appreciated!
There’s really no such thing as an “average job.” There are many different kinds of jobs; in some of them, CS will be more useful and in others, statistics will be more useful. It really depends on what you like and what you want to do in the future. If you’re unsure, you should just select whichever one you prefer, and let your interests guide you.
