Statistics vs. Psych Statistics

I'm currently a freshman in my first semester of university, majoring in Biomedical Science and minoring in Chem. I'm taking Applied Statistics for part of my math requirement, although I could also take Intro. to Stats in Psychology for my major. I'm not doing so well in my current Stats class, as I'm only passing with a D currently and failed the first exam. I feel like I would grasp the material easier in a psych. class as I would find the material interesting and probably more applicable to my field of study. Would it be worth it for me to withdraw from applied stats and begin taking psych. stats next semester, or should I continue with applied? Is there a significant difference between the two courses?

Psych statistics is similar in ways to Business and Applied stats because they both coover probability, binomial distributions, regression, etc. The main difference lies in how it’s used. Business stats is used for marketing and making business decisions while psych stats is all related to research findings and cognitive behavioral therapy. You might be able to use the Business stats course in lieu of psych but it might be worth it to take the class over again.
