<p>For anyone taking Stats 350 this Winter semester, does not using the Quizdom clickers during Lecture have an effect on our grade or anything else?</p>
<p>In the syllabus, it said grade depends on homework and exams, no mention of class participation anywhere.</p>
<p>Those clickers are usually for attendance purposes. Just ask the professor.</p>
<p>If you have Gunderson (who you SHOULD try to get if at all possible), then the Quizdom's are purely used to check your attendance at lectures (and you should definately attend all the lectures because they are helpful as hell)</p>
<p>Lecture is the only way you can learn. GSI's are %$^$ useless. Atleast mine is.</p>
<p>I think my GSI mentioned that attendance at lecture is not recorded. The Quizdoms are only for immediate response etc etc. Having said that, lecture is where everything is taught so you're going to suffer anyway:S</p>
<p>I fully intend to be at all my lectures. However, I'm not enrolled in Gunderson's section, but rather in some other guy's.</p>
<p>Gunderson put out an announcement basically saying: Go to your assigned lecture!</p>
<p>But if lecture attendance is not counted or cared for in anyway, I'm simply going to continue attending Gunderson's classes.</p>

just look over the notes/hw/modules?
I am guessing dont read the textbook since the notes are extensive enough...</p>
