<p>Hey, I wanted to know what people think my chances are for admission to certain colleges, with my stats.</p>

<p>High school unweighted GPA: 3.4-3.6
The low gpa is due to being a poor student my freshman year - I got 3 Cs in Honors Biology, Geometry and French
My sophomore year I figured it out and got all As except for 2 Bs
Junior year I only got one B in Precalc. All others were As</p>

<p>AP - US History, Lang, Gov, Euro, Latin, Literature</p>

<p>SAT: 2150</p>

<p>SAT II: Not taken yet but expecting good scores in US History and Latin</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>Marching Band - Vice President and Trumpet Section Leader
Jazz Band - Lead trumpet
Pit Orchestra - Lead trumpet
Region Band - 4th Chair trumpet
Boy Scouts with various leadership positions
I also worked at a large Boy Scout camp for three summers as a Nature and Science instructor. Two summers as a volunteer and one paid</p>

<p>What do my chances look like for:</p>

<p>American University
UMass
NYU
UMichigan
UMaryland
Amherst College
Kenyon College
Oberlin
Dartmouth
University of Delaware
George Washington University
Boston University
Georgetown</p>

<p>Can I get into any of those that aren't traditional safety schools? Esp. Oberlin, GW etc.
And how about reach schools like Gtown and Dartmouth?</p>

GW: high match
Boston U: reach
Georgetown: reach</p>

<p>Those are the ones I know about. </p>

<p>You should diversify your EC’s more instead of having a bunch of different things for band and Boy Scouts.</p>

<p>UMich put more weight on GPA. Your SAT is around admission average while your GPA is far below (average 3.85). That would make it a reach for you.</p>
