Please, ucr is a joke. So what if we’re community college students? I for one was accepted to ucr without even applying. They just sent me a package saying they’d like to have me blah blah. Maybe my stats weren’t good enough in high school to get me into a top tier UC but I had too much pride to amount to ucr. And I can bet I got a better education in a CC than some of my high school friends did at riverside. All in all, ucr is called the school of rejects for a reason, no one cares about it and no one wants to go there and that’s that.

LOL at people who are bashing harshly on UCR. Just found out they are all CC students who desperately want to transfer to a UC school. Too bad none of the UC schools will accept you with that kind of attitude. Because that’s what happened to Alexandra Wallace.

I don’t get it. Why is it always the CC students that show immaturity in this community? Seriously, what are they learning from CC? Does CC teach them how to devalue others and put them down? I have friends in Berkeley and they always complain about having transfer students there because they are so grossly subpar, rude, immature, likes to compare things, and doesn’t know how to use mannerism. UC’s seriously should stop accepting those ignorant students who are taking easy classes at CC to get A’s.

People on college confidential are so obsessed with rankings. People seem to think that merely getting into a top school == college success as opposed to doing well whatever school you go to. It greatly frustrates me because here is a group of people who would like to be seen as “intellectuals” yet they are mindlessly clinging to ratings. As helpful as I sometimes find this board, sometimes the people on here seem little different than the vapid people whose minds are consumed mostly with buying the name brand clothes and makeup to “amplify” their appearance and image to others. It is all so…empty.

Anyway, from what I’ve heard, UCR has made a lot of strides over the years.
