Free UC Transfer Counseling, Trust Me I'm God.

Yeah, that's right.

Actually, I was just wondering how our anxious selves can trust what any of the "counselors" on this forum are saying? Such as PiratesLife and IWannaIvy.

Where did PiratesLife even come from? None of us should trust the words of anyone without careful consideration.

Don't let a bad apple spoil the bunch.

Well lets see how smart you are. Look at my stats (posted on the Why UC accept/ reject thread) and tell me what you think my chances of admission into such universities are.

Iwannaivy, it seems clear that you lack basic reading comprehension. Nobody in THIS thread is debating your stats (nobody even brought them up), nor has anybody brought up your chances of being admitted to any school.

You seem awfully obsessed with your stats - much like a little kid trying to show off his new toy to friends. Get a life.

You think its possible that PiratesLife and IWannaIvy are the same person? They started within seven days of each other.

How dare you compare me to the proletariat stats of PiratesLife! You sackmonger!

I for one don't need Iwannaivy's worthless advice forHe's applying for transfer himself. I'd like to hear pirates opinion, but I wouldn't let it overweigh the knowledge I have.

To whoever said that UC's favor UC transfers over CCC transfers, you are an idiot. Do UC's favor CSU tranfers over CCC tranfers too? And don't give me any numbers because no matter what you say, over 90% of the UC transfers were from a CCC.

You enjoy his opinion but you wouldn't take any of his advice? So you like to hear him talk. I like to hear my dog barking. I like to hear babies crying. What is this madness!

MaximumConcentration: I've had this reviewed by some other people in the forum and wanted to know your opinion. Here's my post again:

Hey everyone. I'm currently a senior in high school applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCSB, and UCSC. My profile is at this link:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com...ad.php?t=118337

But if you don't want to read it, here's the abridged verson: 4.17GPA (3.82 un-weighted; 4.00UC); 300+ hrs comm service (music clinics, canned food drives, etc.); I SUCK at standardized tests! (SATI: 1740; SATII: Math590, Bio590); I'm over-involved with the school music dept.; 3 sport athlete (baseball: team captain); Awards: Boys State nominee, Nat'l Young Leaders Conf., School Board Student of the Month, etc.

I have a pretty good idea where I will (and won't) get in now and want to know where I’d get in after 2 years at a CC. I work a ton as a music clinician for comm service (probably 200hrs worth if I went to a CC over 2yrs.) So if I did 200hrs of clinics, a little of something else (tutoring, canned food drive, intern, etc.), meet ALL the IGETC requirements, got a GPA around of 3.8+ (shooting for 4.00), and write awesome essays, would I get in to Berkeley and UCLA? I should also say that I plan on being an English major (journalism and/or creative writing emphasis) and writing essays is what I do best...especially if I had 2yrs to work on them! Could you give me my chances, what I could do to improve myself, my percent chance at UCB and UCLA? Thanks for your input.

WTH son. I have no credibility except that I go to a CC.

lol...I didn't read your 1st post and was hoping you were admissions advice god when I saw the title.

Its cool, Its cool.

If you would read my previous posts you would know what I based my expertise on. You should check your own facts anyway, I was just trying to help.

You all are asking questions that you can find the answer to by just doing a little research.

There are overwhelmingly more ccc transfer apps than UC transfer apps smart guy. Do your homework. When you do, it will become apparent that everything I said is the absolute truth. But whatever, I shouldn't even be wasting my time.

Your credentials mean nada, Ivy; obviously. You are the biggest moron I've come across in quite some time. Your existence only proves a point that I've been trying to make for ages--GPA and test scores are only superficial representations of intellectual ability. You are a shining example of this. I should actually be thanking you.

I don't even think you guys come on to this site to ask questions about admissions. I think your real motivation is to find an excuse to post and brag about your credentials that you have dedicated your entire lives to accumulate. Credentials that I would sooner use as bathroom tissue. If this is not the case, then you are dumber than I thought; because you can't even research and comprehend info that is available on any one of the sites of the schools you are applying to. In which case, you have all done me a great service, as you have all become the guinea pigs of my theory. Sometimes I cease to amaze even myself.
Credentials, Hah!

You two just did the same thing. Attack each other and their credentials. Two personal experiences of going through the system does not qualify for being an "expert."

Why does PiratesLife and IWannaIvy end up in a debate in EVERY thread?
