My son is a Sr now and he wants to go to Michigan. We are OOS and he wants business so he wants to try and be a direct admit to Ross. His stats are pretty good, but I do not think they are good enough for Ross direct admit or even Mich in general.
He took the Act twice and scored a 32 33 super score but I do not think they superscore the ACT at Umich. His gpa unweighted is 3.84 and when all is said and done have 4 ap courses, 2 college coureses, macro and business law from a local college and took mostly honors courses, but not all.
Just curious what his chances are. I think you need like 34 on the ACT to be a direct admit, but what do I know lol
It’s easier to get into direct admit now since they are accepting most of their class through direct admits instead of cross campus transfers. Ross average gpa and act are 3.9 and 34 ACT and it will be even tougher for out-of-state students. At this point, just make sure your son produces a great portfolio and tries to get all A’s his senior semester. I’m not sure if it’s worth retaking the ACT since it’s only one point.
Thanks for the info. Yea, he is DONE with the ACT LOL. At some point you just have to say, here you go, I tried my best. It is funny because we are from NY and in NY with the state system it is easier to get in as an OOS student becuase they want the extra $$$$$$. I guess the state of Michigan does not see it that way. Maybe they have a charter like UNC does where they can only accept a certain percentage of OOS students.
