I have an idea! Let's all do some meditative breathing... Breathe in for four counts, hold for four counts, breathe out for four counts, hold for four counts; then repeat about five to seven times.

lol. sparticus800 i wasn't offended by u in the first place. i didn't start this thread to start s*** with ppl. it was more like "thank god i'm done with my ED, now i can finally breathe." i must say ur response sure started some drama... glad we can all drop it. so how's life ppl?

sad as it may be, i usually ignore "stat" threads only because many people just want validation of their competitiveness. Why can't they just look at the statistics released by the university to see if they "have a chance" yes, most people have a chance!

it's great if you think you are unique and thus would like to know the opinions of others, then please start your "stats" thread by saying that, rather than asking people to dig it out through your very long post with your entire high school career, instead just ask "is being an accupuncturist in high school likely to make me stand out and my passion for it give a better chance?" etc (i think i spelled that really long word wrong, sorry!) then if you want, put it in perspective with the rest of your stats. This would more likely make someone like me read about your stats and give you feedback.

I understand also that a lot of stats thread are started because they have something particularly weak in the app (GPA, test scores, strength of classes, etc) then again, those should be emphasized and people will say your other subjective and objective part of your application will need to be especially strong to compensate, so you may put it again in perspective so people can see if your other stats compensate or not.

mimisugar - i like your frankness. it's refreshing, i feel that way often times, and thus, unfortunately don't even comment on people's chances or stats or whatever because in the end, you'll find out in 6 weeks or 3 months. my comments aren't going to change your chances of getting in.

p.s. before people start correcting my grammar, it is my weak point, and i have no shame in making grammar mistakes because it is who I am. as long as i am understood, that's all i care.

finally someone tha'ts doesn't care about grammar!! right on, quynh2007!!! that's y i started this thread. i was so sick and tired of ppl saying wat r my chances of getting in?! wat r my chances of getting?! we're all on here because we wanted to go to amazing schools. but asking about what our chances are doesn't really help at all. i wanted to start this thread so we can talk about something else other than grades. quynh2007 THANK YOU!!!!

mimisugar...i got here through reading your thread in the penn post! my sister goes to penn..such an awesome place...; on a lighter not, not all of us are chirsitians!

wow...he/she isn't talking to him/herself (for those freakin' grammar nazzis). I just had to go finish a calculus take home test, but I'm still here. Yea, I'm gonna start a whole religious revalation as soon as I get time. I don't have a reason for being the religion I am right now other than my parents...I'm gonna do some deep exploration this summer.
