Stats

Has anyone seen this:

Transfer Acceptance Stats ? The Transfer Book

GREAT resource.

CAVEAT: Cornell and Penn have deceptively high acceptance rates, as the inflated ones published include all undergraduate schools, not just the colleges of arts and sciences (where most people apply). Wharton obviously has a far lower acceptance rate as well.

(Not endorsing the book, of course, as I haven’t purchased/read it; just the stats.)

cornell’s numbers are also greatly inflated by internal transfers and GTs (guaranteed transfers from freshman admissions)

Here are the transfer acceptance stats for Cornell by college :
http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000156.pdf

Most of the Guranteed transfers are in the contract colleges: ILR, Human Ecology & Agriculture. But there are evidently a lot of them, so the implications of these numbers to an external applicant to one of those colleges there are a bit difficult to decipher.
