Status reverting back

I've heard about this happening to some other people..

My status was forwarded, then acted on after school, and now is an all new status..

Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.

Happened to anyone else?

Yup, happened to me. I used soadquake’s trick to check if I’m being considered for a scholarship and I am, so it’s not like they made a mistake and changed your status.

Good to know. Thanks!

I’m guessing they did this for everyone. Probably wanted to keep their word about the “mail decisions” only.

Don’t sweat it.

Also happened to me. I panicked for a second! I’m hoping they didn’t make a mistake initially and that my decision has indeed been sent. Glad to know it is happening to others though.

Yeah, happened to me too. I’m not worried though, because I saw that I’m a Trustee candidate before they took the system offline. I think it’s legit, too, because other people got different results (jony6789 is a Presidential candidate, and one other only received admission).

Maybe this means my status sneakily changed to the “acted upon” message while I wasn’t looking! :)

Same here, my son’s status was changed back to “Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. …” on 1/27/2010. Hopefully we will receive the acceptance letter in a few days, as the previous status indicated. Good luck to all!

My son’s status was changed back to the original also.

My husband gave an analogy of the status/Explore checking- It was like putting an unwrapped gift under a Christmas tree. The child sees the gift and goes under the tree to look at it. So the gift is supposed to be a surprise. USC wrapped the gifts this afternoon.

Exactly yorkiemom…that’s what they did lol.
When you all get the opportunity to meet the admissions people at one of the presentations, you’ll understand their motives.
While they much appreciate the stress and anticipation involved, they do want to be responsible for the great surprise and happy feelings.

Ah! Mine switched back too… Has anyone been accepted after this happened?
