For fellow appointees who are reporting on I-day alone (without parents), how are you getting to the Academy on 26th after arriving in Colorado Springs on the 25th?
I am aware of the Bed & Breakfast Program, but I have chosen not to sign up for it.
Instead, I’m planning on staying at the Best Western Academy Hotel, like I did for orientation…but now I am wondering how I will actually get myself to the Academy for I-day.
Does anyone know if the Academy is arranging shuttle buses from certain hotels like they did for orientation?

Well, some cadets on this site have recommended that you go later because if you go earlier then you basically have more time to stand there and get yelled at, some of 2011 may be able to expand on this, I don't really remember

You really don't want to make I-day any longer than it has to be. If you show up an hour earlier, it's just one more hour you have to make a mistake, get yelled at, or otherwise bond and spend some quality time with your friendly cadre. :)

The shorter you can make the experience, the better. I'd take the second bus.
