Stay in Honors/switch to regular? Advice please

Hi, I'm a junior in high school.
I'm stressing over whether or not to stay in my honors Chem class or switch to regular class.
I feel like I'm struggling a lot, and my average is an 84, not including the last quiz I probably failed. (I've always had grades well over 85)

I don't know what to do. What's worse: constantly working hard and still bring unhappy with my grades (honors) or feeling guilty for not challenging myself but being happy with my grades (regular)?

Sorry if I'm rambling, but it's been bothering me a lot... I know 84 isnt bad but it's only going to get harder. And I know colleges like seeing hard courses..

Advice would be appreciated :')

There are a couple things to consider. The first is whether you can get extra help from a friend or teacher. If you can, then your grades could get better and you could stay in the class. If you’re already at your max then you might want to drop it.
The second thing is your potential major. If you plan to major in science/enginering colleges will like to see you challenge yourself with honors chem. If you’re going into liberal arts, it’s not so important to keep the class.
You might also want to check with seniors to see exactly how much harder it will get.
Good luck with your decision!

If you’re not really interested in the sciences than switch out to a regular class. There’s nothing wrong switching in a regular class, a lot of students do that because it’s simply too hard. I wouldn’t worry about colleges and what they’ll think, do what you think is best.
