the only thing I always say myself------start stuffs EARLY, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!!!

unfortunately, for me that's easier said than done (like this 10-page AP English essay I'm supposed to turn in on Monday but haven't even thought about yet...) SENIORITIS gone bad here.

SHOWER...that works the best..

it works the worst for me! Well, I feel more comfortable and sleep after taking shower!

my friend has a random sleep schedule

sometimes he sleeps after school from 6-12 and then work on school stuff until school begins
sometimes he sleeps from 3-6, having already done most of his hw

I try to stay consistent by showering and then usually getting 4 hours of sleep but it's hard not to put your head down in class or at the library after school :-.

love all the response, guys! haha. i love the tweezer idea. not sure if that'd actually keep me awake though. apush is just so incredibly riveting... hah.

I kinda "stack" my sleep...
Say, If for a week I only had an average of 3-4 hours or less during weekdays, then I'll try to sleep as much as I can on weekend (ie: today I slept from 4pm-8am.... 16 hours!!)

The daytime medicines, they usually keep me up for a few hours longer than I normally last.

Well....my problem is like.....even when i try to make up sleep in weekend....for Saturday morning I just wake up early (just bcoz I have to wake up early evry other day) and as for Sunday.......well.....i dare not to sleep WAY TOO MUCH which will catch me offguard for Monday! I don't want to miss school for not waking up early!

thought of waking up early and take a long nap starting 1pm?
long as in 2-3 hours... not 5

willpower works for me, i never take any energy drinks.
my mom would get angry if i did.

now that i m a senior, i get my 7 hours of sleep everyday (at least)

drink plenty of water! makes me feel less sluggish, and if you fall asleep, you'll probably wake up soon enough to use the bathroom!
i'm also a big tea-drinker, so i switch from decaf to caf on big study nights

good luck!

i used to go to bed at 2 every night and wake up at 6:30 or 7

NOW I go to bed at 9 and wake up at 3-3:30 am. I find myself much more productive in the morning, and I get an extra hour of sleep from being so productive in the early hours ;)

^I wish the same would work for me since I prefer working in the morning, but my body wouldn't let me do that. I have a hard time getting out of bed.

Now that I'm a third trimester senior (trimester school don't ask) I get like 2 hours of sleep, down from 3.5 :)

so, futurenyustudent.........how do u do that?! (2 hrs out of 24!! how does ur body get used to such lack of sleep?!)
I like the idea of #53!

I get really cranky, I usually lay in bed for like 4-5 hours before I actually collapse and sleep. But weekends I sleep in until 10...but I also go to bed at like 4.

I like to hear to music and drink something so i stay awake.

I love staying up late doing nothing, hearing music. But sometimes I have to stay awake to finish at my homework because i arrive at home at two but i really start my homework at 9 or 9:30 that's why i get so stressed i wish i won't procrastinate

I dont drink cofee or coke. what i do is that i stay up late one day and the other i sleep all the afternoon. that way i can stay up late next day. its a good tactic although you amy be sleeping in class the other day.
