Stealing

Hey guys I’m currently a sophomore and I was attending a Key Club service event in which I gave out pizza to friends when im not supposed to, which made the organization lose some money. The admins found out and idk whats going to happen. Do you guys know whats the worse that could happen because I really regret my actions and I am really worried about the consequences

The organization will decide on the penalty and inform you. I hope you do understand that deceitful behavior is alway unacceptable, even with friends are involved.

Everyone who has ever been caught has regretted their actions.

The worst that can happen depends on your school. In my school, this would not be a club issue, it would be a disciplinary issue handled by the dean’s office.

You should start, minimum, by repaying the money you stole from the club. Not in the hopes that it will lighten your punishment, but simply because it’s the right thing to do.

thanks guys  i made them lose about $15, but I’m worried they won’t accept the money, and I am curious what’s the appropriate punishment for my wrongdoings? I’m still very nervous as I’ve never been in this much trouble before

Try to figure out what you did it. To look cool to your friends/?
Also give money to cover the cost of the pizza.
You may be removed from the club.

I would offer to pay but also reflect on, and apologize for, whatever made you feel like you should/could do that for your friends. Peer pressure? Enjoying your position of power (over pizza?) The barista at the local Starbucks always gives you something “extra” ?

Did you only feel bad when you were caught?

Stuff like this goes on in the real world all the time. What did you learn about yourself, your friends, and how interactions happen? It was a poor choice but it doesn’t have to be a complete write off as a life experience.
