So other than the ISEF/Intel/Siemens/JSHS science fairs, what other STEM (science/tech/math)-related activities do y'all participate/compete in? There have been multiple lists of awards and ranking, etc. but I think a compiled list of all the STEM-related activities and competitions would be really helpful. Add below! :)

Siemens Competition
Intel STS
Intel ISEF
JSHS

there’s biogeneius

Depends on if team or individual. For team, I know of Siemens We Can Change the World, InvenTeams, TSA TEAMS, HOSA, and Science Olympiad. For individual, there are the Olympiads - Biology, Physics, Chemistry. I think there’s also Ocean Science and Astronomy. Plus Math.

All of the US and international olympiads (USAMO/IMO, USACO/ICO, etc)

I participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition, and it’s pretty awesome. It definitely falls under the “TE” part of STEM, so check it out if you’re interested in a lot of hands-on engineering type work.

What about science fair-type things? Anyone know of any other research based competitions other than the ones mentioned above?

I know of field-specific research based competitions, but not ones as broad as Intel STS, Siemens, etc. For example, there’s the Academy of Neurology High School Research Award for neuroscience, First Step to the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and Physics for chemistry and physics, and the Young Naturalist Award for environmental sciences.
