Step

I see the orientation link when I log in to my account, but nothing about the STEP program. Others say they have information about both. Is the STEP program for everyone of only for certain people?

when I signed up for STEP,I don’t recall seeing the orientation link… weird…
STEP is for everyone to apply, the deadline is May 1st, so if you want to apply, you should hurry up!

Hmm… I was under the impression that you had to be invited to apply for STEP.

I have found some information to support my thought on the UC Davis website:
Tutoring and learning resources page:
"Freshman EOP students are invited to participate in the Special Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP). "
Freshman Orientation page for the class of 2013:
“[Note: If you have been invited to apply for Special Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP), please review your MyAdmissions page for additional information.]”

Students invited to the STEP program should not have the option to attend orientation since the STEP program will cover the orientation material. I believe the STEP program is by invitation only so not all students will have the opportunity to attend the STEP program. If you have been invited to attend the STEP program it is highly encouraged you attend the program and not attend the Orientation program.
