Does Stern have an honors program? and are there merit scholarships you can get without submitting a FAFSA?

Stern Scholars used to have a merit scholarship that came with it, but a couple years ago, they made it so that you had to demonstrate need as well to get it. But that's a moot point now, since they're getting rid of the Scholars program and re-routing the money towards financial aid.

RIP Scholars Program

lol

So no honors or scholarships if you don't need financial aid?
i guess i'm going to Haas.

Although, they still have the actual program called 'honors program': http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/uc/currentstudents/academics.cfm?doc_id=4941

As far as I'm aware the Honors Program has been put to rest. I've been in touch with many accepted students at Stern this year via CC and Facebook and no one is in a "honors" program.

There are still merit scholarships. Three that I know of are (1) Martin Luther King (MLK) Scholars which awards $25K a year to applicants exhibiting passion for social change and are in any NYU school, (2) Rudin Scholars which awards $20K a year to applicants from NY and are in any NYU school, and (3) D.E.A.N.'s Scholars which awards $25K a year to applicants... i think who are just excellent overall but it's limited to CAS students. I think 60 applicants were offered scholarships from each of the three programs, and about half of them will actually enroll.

I myself am admitted to Stern and received the MLK Scholarship when I have no determined need.

So Stern students can get either the MLK or Rudin Scholarships. There just isn't a scholarship particular to Stern.
