Stern - Sunday at the Square??

2240 SAT I (1 sitting), SAT IIs: 740, 720, 650
Grades: I don't know my GPA since my school doesn't really disclose them to students, but I'm in the toughest classes and I've held an A average.

ECs: Very involved, a lot of good leadership positions.

If you want to know more specifics or whatever, PM me.

Oh, and does anyone know how many students are accepted/matriculate into the Stern Scholars Program?

I got in! Got the invite today...

I live in NY and I got the invite today. Is everyone else who got the invite definitely going? What have you guys heard about Sunday at the Square?

omg! i got it! it was just "in the mail"
hope everyone who is waiting for one will get one + congrats to those who already got one! =)

I got the letter today!!

2270 SAT, 800 Math IIC, 760 Chemistry, 760 US History
GPA: 3.90-Magnet School in Northern New Jersey

EC's-Pretty good, but not great in terms of Business ec's.

How did you guys get the letter? Was it UPS or regular snail mail? I live in TX and I was just wondering.

Snail Mail

So to confirm, Stern applicants who got the invite are "Stern Scholars", right?

yeah i got my decision today in the mail. ... totally was not expecting it!!

Exactly how many people are in the Stern Scholars program? I got my lettter today also, and today may be the last day by snail mail because I live in Las Vegas.

YAY got my letter today :] i wish i could goooo because i really wanna live in NYC, but it's too expensive :( que depressing.

ya, i got it.. but I'm not going to NYU unless its under 30,000.. is that even possible?

I asked a Stern grad who was in Scholars, and he told me that about 15% of each class is in the program (approx. 80 to 100 out of the 550ish students in each class).

collegebound_07 i live in texas and i got my invite today. you should get yours soon

Definitely less than 15%... there might be 80 kids in the freshman Stern Scholars class, but the senior class was down to at most 40 last semester.

So I shouldn't be necessarily worried about receiving a Stern invite? Because it looks like it's just "Stern Scholars" getting the invite this year (so far), not "regular" applicants?

Well, the guy I talked to graduated from Stern a couple of years ago, so numbers have probably changed since then.
