I have a 2350 (800/750/800) superscored 2400 on the SAT and a 101.6 GPA (out of 100). Our school does not give out gpas in 4.0 scales for some reason... It's weighted. I have good extracurriculars, but I wouldn't say they are beyond stellar. I'm an international student needing financial aid, which means NYU, let alone Stern, is not going to be easy. I really need some advice as to should I even bother applying? Would it be a better idea to shoot for need blind schools instead? I would die to go to Stern, but hearing about NYU's notorious financial aid, I honestly don't know if I stand a chance. I can't afford to apply to a lot of schools, so I need to choose carefully. Thank you in advance!

Just apply, man. Better be safe than sorry. Your stats are great (top 5%-1% of application pool), so NYU should want you. Looking through last year’s decision threads, I read of several international students with far less superb stats than you getting aid.
