Steve Irwin is dead

This is for Steve Irwin;

Apple... you are dumb, hole, and i hate you.******************** you.

:(

I actually cried when i heard steve died. He was probably the only guy i admired on animal planet. cause all the other guys are copies of him... steve is, and will always e the original croc hunter.

:(

My heart goes to Steve and his family and friends!

Apple,

It sounds like you have never actually seen his show before. He was an advocate for animals and never said what he was doing was safe. In fact he always said if he ever did get seriously injured it would be his own fault. He was doing it to inform people about these animals. Maybe do some more research before you post again.

I definitely shed a few tears when I heard about Steve Irwin's death. I mean, we all joked that it had to happen eventually with all his dealings with wild animals- but I never really thought it would- he seemed so invincible. He was one of my heroes when I was little and his show was definitely one of the best on Animal Planet. And I feel terrible for his wife and two little kids.

"Do you have any sympathy for the poor wild animals that Steve has punished and tortured throughout the years on tv?? I'm an animal lover..and I dont like it when folks use crocidiles and snakes for their own entertainment..its wrong and it sends the wrong message to children, that messing around with dangerous animals is safe and okay in our society...shame on him."

He never "tortured" animals on TV. He dealt with them in a humane way in order to show people how cool they were and how necessary to their ecosystems. He tried to get people to see beyond the "eew, its an icky bug/snake" or "scary crocodile" and appreciate all animals, even if they aren't cute and furry. And I can't count how many times I watched him rescue an animal from inadequate facilities, ignorant owners, or medical problems that required control of the animal (for the vets' and its own safety). He was also really active in all sorts of conservation issues. And he always drew attention to which snakes were dangerous, what to avoid, and peppered his dialogue with plenty of "don't try this at home" warnings. As Sweetny said- he always blamed his injuries on his own carelessness or his making the animal nervous- and made sure that people knew they should call in a professional to deal with wild creatures.

I, for one, will miss Steve Irwin, his Aussie accent, and his genuine passion for what he did.

Apple, crawl back into the hole that you came from.

Sad week for Australia.

I had no idea who he was until I decided to search him in Wiki and realized he was author of the program that I always loved to watch.
RIP :(

who exactly is Steve Erwin?
(I was too lazy to read the first 3 pages of this thread)

you don't know who he is?

well, long story short, he was this crazy australian guy who would wrestle crocs and snakes and other deadly animals. he was hilarious and did a lot for the preservation of many endangered reptiles and stuff. you should wikipedia him or youtube a clip from his show.
