Still hope for becoming a PA?

So this is my second year in a community college, and I’m not doing all that good. Last year (freshman year) i made a C in Human Anatomy and a C in Statistics. My GPA was a 2.9. This year (first semester) I’m failing my Algebra, and making a C in Psychology (i’m taking other classes also). I’m getting my bachelor’s in Nursing and my Master’s for Physician Assistant. I’m not dumb, i’m just not putting in any effort and studying like i’m suppose to and now i feel like I’m going to get absolutely nowhere with these grades. I plan on transferring next school year to a university. I know the PA program is really tough to get into and I just feel like, it’s going to be impossible for me to get into it. Since I’m in a community college and making bad grades, I feel like that’s going to be a disadvantage for me. Will me retaking the classes later on, lessen my chances of getting accepted?

  1. If you don’t put in effort, you won’t get good grades
  2. Why are you not putting in effort?
  3. If you want to be a PA, the trajectory is not Associates degree, BSN then PA. Nursing is a separate path.
  4. PA schools and BSN programs are competitive. You may not have the grades for it.
  5. Is there a minimum GPA for transferring?

You should talk to an advisor to make sure you are takign the classes you need for your goals.
You should also talk to someone about study skills.
You should ask why you are not studying hard for the classes you need to reach yoru goals.
