Son is still trying to make final decision. Study abroad is very important to him. Tell me all the wonderful things you can about Kenyon's program so I can share them with him and get him as much info as possible.......

English major - thinking London?

I'm posting this in his other college choices too just to see what I can come up with to share with him. Thanks!!!!

You can study abroad just about anywhere. A good group usually end up in GB. There’s a good list of the pre-approved programs on Kenyon’s website. The one special English study abroad program your son might end up giving some thought to is the Kenyon-Exeter program, but you can go just about anywhere, Oxford for example.

What about study abroad for pre-med students?

You have to be strategic from the start of your Kenyon career, but it is possible.

Kenyon is SO good about helping you find the program that’s right for you. I wandered into the OCS office (off campus study) knowing I wanted to go somewhere, but committed to not going just for the sake of going. They helped me find a program that was PERFECT for me, that I was totally excited about, and was exactly as wonderful as I thought it would be.

Not only were they great on finding the right place, but they were great on the way back too. They gave us tons of opportunities to share our experiences through panels with current students, prospective families, as well as students about to go to similar parts of the world.

My favorite thing by far was the photo exhibit in the library of everyone’s pictures from all the different places people went. They had everyone submit photos and they blew up the best ones into 8x11s (they tried to do at least one from everyone.) It got us all talking and asking questions about each other’s trips in addition to proudly showing captured moments from our own experience. And, after the exhibit, we got to keep our nice big copies of our pictures, a great momento.
