Hi Parent99… I haven’t gone abroad and don’t plan to, so I’m afraid I can’t share personal anecdotes. That being said, I can assure you that Vassar is an excellent school for study abroad programs. In regards to studying in the British Isles: I know several people who are doing/have done/will be doing just that. One of my friend’s is going to St. Andrews University in Scotland for a semester next year and another is going to Oxford for the year. Both are very excited about the prospect of going. I also know a guy from Vassar who’s currently at Oxford and is having a blast.

Generally speaking, it’s quite easy to study just about anywhere. Vassar has several programs it runs–Berlin, Clifden (in Ireland), Paris, Bologna, Madrid, and St. Petersburg–however, many (if not most) students go elsewhere each year. On the website chris’mom posted above, you should be able to find a link to the different pre-approved programs your son could attend.
