It’s almost 10 days til we have all our results from colleges and I have still not heard back from Stony which is my top choice? How worried should I be? Like around how many spots do you think are left? I have like a 92.5 GPA (After mid year grades) and a 1340 SAT score.
Me too, my sat is much lower than yours though my grade is only a few points higher
1460 SAT, 95.3 GPA, female engineering major… no response. Lol
do you think this means were didn’t get in since its so late and they haven’t said anything?
Stony will let you know if you’re accepted, rejected, or waitlisted by April 1st (assuming you applied by Jan. 15th).
There is still a chance that you will be accepted. I know some current students that were not accepted until late March the year they applied.
Stony Brook tends to accept or reject students on the extremes early on. It possible that they wanted to wait until receiving mid-year grades before making a final decision. And right now, they’re super busy while making the last few rounds of decisions. Regardless, you should not worry about not hearing a response until it is April 1st.
I have no idea I guess they’re finalizing the decisions and they’ll be sending out mass emails soon enough @Sstonybrook
I have a 4.0 unweighted, 4.78 weighted, and 1340 SAT score like you, but I have heard back from them several weeks ago, but I am yet to be notified of my Honors College application. I would say give it another week before you start worrying, though. Around this time, many colleges are finalizing decisions, so I’m sure, as lokeianxious said, mass emails will be sent very soon. I have other colleges I have yet to hear from as well, like NYU and Vassar, but there’s still about a good week left of the decision period.
Still haven’t heard back yet also. Have around a 96 GPA with a 33 ACT majoring in biomedical engineering. Hopefully we’ll all find out soon!
same here for my S. still waiting…no more nails to bite hahahaha
I really hope they’re still accepting people, I need this so bad
