Still waiting for financial aid

I hope I get a lot of aid, that is the only way I can attend. My efc is < 3k.

Application Status
Financial Aid Eligibility - Completed
Application for Financial Aid - Monitor your status at My Financial Aid and My Documents.

mine says that too now, but then when i click to see the aid eligibility, it says sorry your record is not available. o_O? what is wrong with this thing??

Well atleast yours says Completed...mine is still Not Completed...

Polarbear...try going here: http://afaweb.esd.usc.edu/dcpage.cfm?PageBaseID=50371

ooo that one worked...thanks so much!! :]

and i hope yours gets done soon and you get a wonnnderfulll aid package

Nice! How was your package?

I hope mine gets done soon too :(

I haven't gotten mine either :-(

I just got mine! but it kinda sucks i'm not going. I kinda wanted to go a while back but i changed my mind even before the letter told me i wasn't going. All well good luck to all you guys getting yours.

oneunknown, what's ur status? i thought USC is generous about giving fin aid.

My stats aren't great or anything but i recieved much better offers from other schools. USC wasn't my first choice but i was considering it. So its not really a big deal.

And I still haven't gotten any fin aid info from 'SC.

Come on already.... :(

poLarbeAr: My status now says "Completed" also, but when I go to that link that I posted for you earlier it doesn't show anything regarding my financial aid. I click on My Financial Aid and it says "Information not available."

Is that where you went? If not...could you tell me where you went to check what your received for financial aid?

that is what happens it will stay on information not yet available but after like 2 days it will show up. That is what happened to me, just wait and it will eventually show up :)

my financial aid says INCOMPLETE but it also says i have all the requried documents in. ahhh

JUST WAIT after a couple days it will show up CHILL

omg, my parents haven't even sent my tax papers in yet! holy crap! ughhhhh i'm not going to get anything... :'(

I just got mine today, 31k grant for efc 2/3k, I'm pretty happy.

JeNeSaisQuoi: Why don't you push your parents to do all this financial aid stuff? This is your future...they need to fax that stuff in ASAP.

Also: I received my fin aid package today, but it had no mention of a Cal Grant...did anyone elses? I received something in the mail a while back from the Cal Grant people giving an estimate of how much I would receive, but as I said before: USCs financial aid summary had no mention of a Cal Grant.

I haven't gotten my fin. aid stuff back yet. It seems as if it is taking forever.

;) Anyway, congrats to those who got lots of grant money! That's really cool. :)

I am not expecting much aid, because our EFC is mid $50,000. Still doesn't mean my parents can shell out 40,000k a year for 'SC. Far from it, actually.

Has anyone heard that there are relatively few middle-class kids at 'SC, only those who would be considered lower/lower-middle class (brilliant poor kids) or upper middle class (perhaps more dim, rich kids)? I know that's a tough, overblown and rude (not to mention OLD) stereotype, but there may be some truth to it-- in relation to most big, expensive universities, maybe. Middle class people (c'est moi) won't be able to afford 'SC without a pretty big struggle. Which is why I've been spending the week doing a flurry of scholarships. And bracing myself for perhaps not being able to go to Southern Cal.

This is very ironic, because my father was extremely poor (but very bright and hard-working) and was given full tuition to 'SC when he was a teenager. And now because we're too "rich" (cough) I, his daughter, might NOT be able to go. :/

Best wishes to those who haven't heard yet!

Squirrel888, 31k grant is hell a lot. is ur status very good? how much loan did u get.

I got 5k loan. I don't think they give aid based on the stats though. And PEALS, are you sure your EFC (estimated family contribution) is 50k??? If so, you shouldn't be recieving any aid because you are expected to pay 50+ k a year for college. I think you are thinking about total income. My efc is around 2 or 3k so I got a 38.5k package to cover the rest of tuition.
