Still waiting, please chance me and lend some much needed advice

Hey all!

I am a transfer student applying with a 3.58 GPA as well as 60 credits and applying for Summer 2012 into the Computer Criminology - Computer Science program. Here is a link to the program I want to get into...

<a href="http://crim.fsu.edu/p/Computing_Crim_Program_Guide.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://crim.fsu.edu/p/Computing_Crim_Program_Guide.pdf</a></p>

When I called I was told I meet all the requirements and that my transcript would be sent off to the department to decide whether I'd be accepted, I'm just waiting on an answer at this point now and was told to wait 2-3 more weeks.

I haven't applied to any other colleges but I'm thinking maybe I should because I'm getting ancy and really want to attend this university, do you guys think I should apply to others? Also - Please chance me. Thank you for your time!

Looks like your college GPA is good. I think you have a good shot at a very interesting program.

Have you completed your AA? I know you say you have 60 credits, but you didn’t say whether you had an AA. It’s MUCH easier to transfer with an AA than without.

Either way though it looks pretty good.

Many of the different departments at FSU are about 10 days behind schedule buried with work. The winter break, closed another holiday today, new semester crunch , etc., combined with piles of applications to upper division limited access programs, transfers’ applications, and applications for graduate programs can mean delays. Be patient and good luck!

@Pasbal yes I will have my AA

Neither the criminology or computer criminology are limited access programs. FSU’s criminology program is rated as one of the best in the country. FSU, University of Cincinnati (know for corrections) and University of Maryland are considered the top three. My understanding is that there are very few computer criminology programs. If you are anxious, you can apply to other programs, but I would wait to make a final decision until you hear from FSU.

I would be shocked if you were rejected with an AA and a 3.58, assuming you’ve met all of the prerequisites.

I think you will be good then if you have your AA.

I got in with a 3.4 your good
