Applying to Northeastern University for the spring with my A.A. which is 60 credits. I am applying to the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice with a 3.95. I got a 31 on the ACT, I'm a hispanic URM, and I have stellar recommendations from the chairs of two departments at my community college in FL. I have many EC's and I will probably write my essay on the plans I have to be a criminal prosecutor! Oh, and I will be applying for the upcoming 2015 spring semester! Would someone here mind chancing me so far?

I am very very nervous about applying for the spring and am afraid it will be a waste of time. How competitive is it to transfer into the school of criminology and criminal justice? Is this a a low match, a high match, or a reach for me?

Stop lose confidence with yourself. You have a good shot and you should also look at John Jay in NYC, they have a lower admission standard. When you are uncertain, apply widely.

I’m also looking at UF, UMiami, GWU, and Richmond as they are the highest ranked undergraduate programs with criminology programs. Should I be looking at UMD-College Park, Penn State, and SUNY-Albany as they have really good criminology graduate departments but are giant out-of-state public schools.
